Milfos is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Waikato and King Country region’s Young Enterprise Scheme (YES). YES is a unique program which encourages secondary school students to create small businesses.  They learn key skills such as, team building, relationship management, meeting procedures, record keeping, the legal requirements for running a business, and the process of reporting company performance.  These skills help to provide students with skills that equip them for life after school in the workforce.  

The competition is open to all senior secondary students throughout the country and gives them the chance to show case the entrepreneurial abilities in producing a new product or service right from concept through to production.

Managing Director Jamie Mikkelson says “The YES concept fits well with our company philosophy as we continue to become more involved in community based events.”  Milfos believes it is important to foster community relationships and this scheme is a great opportunity for doing this.
